Palm Oil

Palm oil is oil which is found in fruit  It is used in lots of every day products, like shampoo and paint as well as in lots of the food we eat like biscuits, chocolate and pizza.

It is used in many every day products to help them last a long time.

It is used so much in so many different products that large companies are chopping down large areas of rainforests to get it. 

This is having a bad effect on the rainforests. Trees and habitats are being cut down and animals are losing their homes. Also it is reducing the number of trees on our planet which is effecting the environment.
